During the past seven years, I have worked on various Dutch language projects and gained experience as a Dutch teacher in secondary and adult education. To further professionalise my teaching skills, I also followed various teacher courses. 

 

My background in cultural anthropology forms a good foundation because it fostered my intercultural and analytical skills. I learned to be open to different perspectives and be aware of my own and other's frame of reference.

 

Cultural anthropology and my experiences as a Dutch teacher taught me a lot. However, I also felt that teaching in international environments has a far wider scope that I wanted to explore. I am therefore currently studying to become an international primary school teacher.
