At the end of this course, you and/or your child(ren) can understand and take part in conversations in standard Dutch about topics that are familiar, of personal interest, or relate to everyday life (e.g. family, hobbies, work, travel and current events). Moreover, you can understand the main points of radio and TV programs, and conversations that are of personal or professional importance. Finally, you know how to describe experiences, dreams, hopes and ambitions and you can express your opinions, plans, tell a story, or depict the plot of a book or movie.

At the end of this course, you furthermore understand texts that consist of high-frequency words and that contain everyday or job-related language. Moreover, you understand descriptions of events, feelings and wishes in personal letters. You can write simple and coherent texts about topics that are familiar and/or that are of personal interest. For example, personal letters that describe experiences and impressions.
