This course is for novice language learners and the objective is to provide you and/or your child(ren) with a good foundation of Dutch. The aim is that, after 10 weeks, you can understand and produce familiar words and basic phrases about yourself, your family and your immediate, concrete environment. 

 

After this course, you can understand basic words and simple sentences. For example, in notices, on posters, or in the newspaper. You can fill out personal details on forms and read and write short and simple messages, for example a short email.

You furthermore will learn basic skills that allow you to have simple conversations. After this course, you can produce simple expressions and sentences to describe where you live and to talk about the people you know. You can ask and answer simple questions pertaining to an immediate need or very familiar topics.

To help you to get the most out of your course, we work with various methods. The teacher will also provide you with additional materials, if needed. We can explain you more about this when we contact you to register.
